The simPRO catalogue forms the basis of stock management, material pricing and prebuilds. Without a properly calibrated catalogue, you cannot have confidence in inventory management, material pricing or prebuild pricing accuracy. Ideally, your catalogue should have nearly every part you need, and a minimum of parts you will never need, with critical prices updated regularly and automatically. Unfortunately, like most things, it is a lot easier to mess up your catalogue than to clean it up, and this is a common problem. If you don't trust your catalogue, and want to clean it up but don't know where to start, this service may be for you. Do you: - Have difficulty finding the parts you are looking for in the catalogue (too many search results). - Want to clean up the catalogue, but are afraid of deleting parts you need, and don't know how to separate the necessary from unnecessary parts. - Have too many duplicate parts. - Don't trust the data in your catalogue, not sure when prices were last updated. - Experience problems with linked supplier updates (e.g. not updating correctly, importing too many parts). Working with you: - We archive all parts that have not been used within a date range of your choosing (e.g. last 12 months, 3 years etc). - We exclude (don't archive) catalogue parts that are in prebuilds. - We delete empty catalogue groups (those with no items in them). - We merge parts with duplicate part numbers and/or part names. - We check your automatic imports from linked suppliers and help you set them up to suit your needs. - We walk through the process of importing custom price files from suppliers who are not linked. - We provide you with a best practise guide to maintaining your catalogue in good shape, helping to prevent the situation from recurring.
